My journey into real estate started in 2006, when I was working as a front desk assistant at a real estate office. The office manager was also a real estate instructor at our local community college, and she encouraged me to take real estate classes. I took her advice, earned my license, and immediately stepped into a property management position with the company.

For the next 13 years, I discovered how much I truly loved real estate—not only the properties themselves, but the different personalities, stories, and goals behind each one. Every property and every client is different, and I enjoy finding what makes each situation unique.

In 2019, I took the next step and opened my own company, Be My Galveston Guest. Owning my own business gave me the opportunity to expand my work in real estate and become more involved in listing and selling properties, something I had always wanted to pursue.

Today, I'm excited to bring that experience to The Mandie McMillan Team at RE/MAX Coastal. I've spent years working independently, so I'm especially excited to be part of a team that actively works together and moves toward a common goal. I love the Coastal and Galveston focus and the opportunity to serve an area I know and appreciate.

Galveston County is incredibly diverse, and that's one of the things I love most about it. From the beaches of Galveston to the big shade trees of Dickinson, the farmland farther west, and the growing communities and shopping areas to the north, there is something different around every corner. I love helping people discover which part of this community feels like home to them.

My approach with clients is simple: I want them to feel confident that I understand their goals and that I'm going to do everything I can to make the most of them. I'm patient, and I don't believe in rushing people into decisions. If it takes looking at 10 houses to find the right one, then that's what we'll do. For sellers, I believe in doing the due diligence upfront—making sure we have the right information and that the property is positioned and listed correctly from the beginning.

At the end of the day, I want my clients to know that I was in their corner and that I got the job done.

Outside of real estate, my faith and family are at the heart of my life. I've been married to my husband for 34 years, and together we have two amazing daughters and eight grandchildren. I love entertaining friends and family, taking cruises, and heading out on Smoky Mountain road trips. I'm adventurous—but I like to be adventurous safely!

I'm looking forward to this next chapter with The Mandie McMillan Team and to continuing to build relationships, serve my community, and help people reach their real estate goals—one property and one client at a time.
